Holi Festival of Colors

The Holi Festival of Colors is a festival that takes place in the northern parts of India on the full moon of the Phaluga month. This is a Hindu festival that celebrates victory of good over bad and on the day of the Festival in India, every person is equal no matter their class.

We headed over to the festival with a great group of friends after our husbands WON their inline hockey game! GO KMC EAGLES!! LOL Let me just say, this was an absolute blast!!! Venice

Venice was an actual dream come true!!! Ever since I was little, I dreamed of going to Venice and see the canals and riding a gondola! It all came true this past April! Here are a few samples but to see the rest, click HERE!!!!

The Vatican

Did you know that The Vatican is it’s own country?!?! It is, and it is also the SMALLEST country in all of Europe!! Here is just a tiny preview of some pictures!!! Check out HERE for all the pictures!!!

Pompeii, Sorrento, and Naples

Pompeii was amazing to see all the ruins of the ancient city!! Here are just a few of our favorites, we will post more at the end!

In Sorrento, we had the BEST pizza ever!!! They say that is where pizza was invented. Queen Marguerite was coming to visit and she wanted something that was different and involved something that they were known for. So, what they did was make the dough and add sauce and cheese and called it a Margarita pizza in honor of her!!!

Rome, Italy

Hello Romo!!!! Rome was an amazing, incredible time!!! You could spend a week in Rome and still probably not see anything!! Rome is definitely a must see!!! The Colosseum was Bear’s absolute favorite of our whole Italy trip!! The Trevi Foundation was also a must see!! According to the Romains, you throw 3 coins in the foundation. The first coin is your wish to return! The second coin is your wish and the Third is so it will come true! Enjoy the pictures of this beautiful Village!!!

Florence, Italy

Ah, Florence was a beautiful village!! Sadly, It was almost 6 months ago and I have forgotten all the good info I wanted to write about, so have fun looking at the pictures!!!

Pisa, Italy

Ah..the leaning tower of Pisa!!! We have all heard about it and it lives up to the hype!! They have had hundreds of contractors and etc. come out and try to figure out why the tower leans. However, NO one can figure out why!! It leans 3 cm more EACH year!!! That is pretty crazy!!

Bavarian Brewery

When we were down in Garmisch when my mother was here, we decided to visit a Bavarian Brewery. The Bavarian take their beer very seriously and they even have a law of how their beer is to be made! Which is actually very good for us, because it was EXTREMELY delicious!! They do not sell their beer outside of their area, which is sad for us being almost 4 hours away!! Griesbrau zu Murnau was the name of the brewery we visited, and if you are ever down toward Bavaria, we highly recommend tasting some of their delicious beers!!

Swarovski Crystal Factory-Austria

When my mother said she was coming out to visit, the first thing she wanted to visit was the Swarovski Crystal Factory in Austria. At first my husband and I were like gah, this is going to be boring BUT we were quite wrong and very surprised!! It did seem like the creators may have been on a LSD trip,  but it was extremely interesting!!

Black Forest

The first trip we took when my mother came to visit was to the Black Forest!! We visited the beautiful town of Triberg!! We hiked, as much as one can in snow, and saw some beautiful waterfalls, looked and purchased a cuckoo clock, and had some delicious black forest cake-which they are known for!! It was a wonderful Friday!!
